Well, it has been a while since I posted or even visited wordpress. How long has it been? I had forgotten my password and had to create a new one. That is how long it was but I digress.
My first self-published book, The Auld Sod, has done well for the little I’ve done in three or four months. Eighteen hard copies have been sold (five remain) and three eBook versions have been downloaded from noisetrade.com. I at the end of this section I will post another poem. If you are interested in a copy (or one from NoiseTrade) let me know! In the meantime I have been working on a small collection of short stories and plan on puting that out through creatspace.com.
Prison Isle
It has been ten years since I have landed in jail
and I pray every night without fail
that God would keep me from hell
(or at least spring me from this cell).
It seems that these thick, stony partitions
are detrimental to my petitions
for it blocks out any and all sunlight
making a silent mockery of my life.
The guards are the least of our fears.
Many a rat has taken up quarter here.
All of us are frightened by these pests;
they make it hard for any man to rest.
One of us thought the devil was getting in.
So he began confessing all of his sins.
After rising from the side of his bed
he noticed that it was the vermin stealing a piece
of bread.
Another thing I’ve been doing was some homebrewing. Here is a couple photos of my experiment.
